Terms of Service
Terms for using TinyDesk AI Maker, including acceptable use, credits, and user content.
Last updated: 2026-10-29
Agreement and service
These Terms apply when you access or use TinyDesk AI Maker. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into these Terms.
TinyDesk AI Maker lets you submit photos of one adult to create an AI-edited video when the template and generation service are available. The service is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by NPR or TikTok. AI-generated videos are not recordings of actual events and must not be presented as authentic footage.
Accounts and security
Some features require an account. Provide accurate information, protect your login credentials, and contact [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account. Do not share access in a way that circumvents these Terms or our controls.
Your photos and generated videos
You may upload only photos of an adult who has explicitly consented to this AI video use. You must have the rights and permissions needed for the photos, likeness, and other material you submit. Where two photos are provided, they must show the same consenting adult. You confirm these permissions in the generation form. We check the files' technical properties, but do not independently verify a person's age, identity, or consent.
You retain the rights you have in your submitted content. You allow us and our service providers to receive, process, store, and transmit it as needed to provide the service, review reports, enforce these Terms, and comply with law. Photos are sent to our server and a processing provider when you submit a generation. Videos are accessed through the account that created the task; download them promptly, as permanent storage is not included. See our Privacy Policy.
Prohibited content and conduct
Do not upload, generate, share, or use content involving child sexual abuse material or sexualized minors; non-consensual intimate imagery or sexual deepfakes; non-consensual likeness use or deceptive impersonation; exploitation, threats, harassment, unlawful violence or hateful violence; infringement of another person's rights or privacy; or other unlawful activity. Do not attempt to bypass safeguards, access another user's content, disrupt the service, distribute malware, or abuse its payment or credit systems.
Our Content Moderation Policy explains the detailed rules, existing preventative checks, monitoring limitations, how to report concerns, and how reports and appeals are handled. It is part of these Terms and applies even if content is kept private or shared elsewhere.
Payments, credits, and refunds
Video packs are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. Prices and applicable taxes are shown before checkout. Each generation currently uses 10 site credits; credits are added after confirmed payment. A confirmed generation failure restores the charged site credits once. If a submission's outcome is uncertain, credits may remain reserved while the task is investigated; do not submit again until its status is clear.
Restored site credits are not an automatic cash refund. For a billing issue or cash refund request, contact [email protected] with the order or task ID. We review requests in light of the circumstances and applicable law. These Terms do not limit rights that cannot legally be waived.
Intellectual property and third-party rights
The service and its original software and materials are protected by applicable intellectual property law. We do not claim ownership of your submitted photos. A generated video may contain a template, recording, composition, likeness, or other material owned by a third party. Using our service does not grant you rights to those materials; you must obtain all permissions required for your intended use. Template availability is subject to the necessary rights and service configuration.
Reports, enforcement, and appeals
Anyone may report suspected misuse or a rights violation to [email protected]. Include the task ID or other identifying details where available, but do not send passwords, identity documents, or illegal imagery. We may review available relevant information, restrict or remove content under our control, or suspend or terminate access where appropriate. You may request reconsideration by contacting the same address. The Content Moderation Policy describes this process and its limitations.
Availability and liability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, including when a template or service provider is unavailable. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without guarantees of uninterrupted availability or a particular result. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms by publishing the revised version and date on this page. For questions, account issues, or legal requests, email [email protected].
